Variations of this level of care are appropriate for people who have completed intensive outpatient treatment, residential treatment or those looking for an introduction to treatment. The classes meet for one and a half hours each week.
This first step is one to one and a half hour meeting with your therapist for a thorough evaluation. Together, counselor and client build an individualized treatment plan. IOP consists of approximately 62 hours of care delivered over eight weeks. Morning and evening sessions are available. Groups are 2.5 hours long and meet three times a week for eight weeks. Additional individual sessions are scheduled with the counselor.
For many high school age kids who have a drug problem, IOP is a first step towards feeling good about themselves again and rebuilding trust with parents, which is so often shaken with addiction. The structure of the program is the same as the adult IOP, with our teen counselors specialize in helping this age group learn about addiction and recovery as well as regaining their footing in a difficult world.

Family programs offered by treatment centers help families understand just how much living with this disease has affected the. how hard they have been working to keep their family together. With sobriety, that effort can be redirected to bring peace, health and happiness back into their lives. Most treatment programs offer programming specifically for family members on an evening, weekend, and sometimes week long basis. While family members are not the sick ones in this situation, the disease has certainly affected them individually and as a group. Learning about this and how to correct it is the single best thing they can do to help the addict and their family.
