Jenifer Ludwig Woods, MS, AMFT is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, having obtained her Masters of Science in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, San Diego. Her passion lies in guiding clients to break through their own unique barriers and better align with the person they desire to be, striving for the life they want to live. Jenifer walks her own journey of recovery, practicing the very same tools she now encourages her clients to put their trust in.
As a clinician, she creates a safe space to address difficult topics, explore sources of fear, love and interpersonal relationships, redirect patterns of faulty thinking, and challenge impulsive behaviors all while nurturing and amplifying the inner strengths we all possess.
Jenifer has been providing direct clinical care to clients since 2013 in a variety of community settings including telephonically (via video-conferencing), schools, client’s homes, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and most recently private practice. She has experience working with clients of all ages through a variety of crisis scenarios, battles with mental illness, struggles with substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders, processing of trauma related issues and goals to strengthen relationships and increase whole-person wellbeing from a Cognitive Behavioral Interpersonal approach to therapy.
Jenifer maintains her own recovery as an agent of change and utilizes the vital components of human connection along with her deep compassion, personal experience, and professional training to meet clients “wherever they are at” along their walk in recovery. Jenifer currently holds the role of Intake Specialist on the With You and For You team and is here to answer any questions you may have about you/your loved one’s struggle with addiction. She assesses client needs, discusses enrollment into our program(s) and provides referrals to more appropriate levels of care when clinically indicated.
